OUR COLLECTIONS
Let me explain my crazy and how I decided where everything belongs around here.
Say I simply listed apparel, home décor, accessories, stationery and seasonal items. Sure, that would have told you what I sell, but it would not have told you why any of it is here. Stay with me for a second.
Dunn by Her is filled with things I wanted to wear, things I wanted to see in my own home and things I could picture somebody carrying, displaying, writing in or using to wrap a gift. Then there are the everyday things and the seasonal things that simply make life feel a little more personal, especially for us. If you know, you know.
I did not want to organize everything only by what it was. I wanted to think about how and where it might show up in your life.
That is how these eight collections came to be.
WEAR
Because You’re You.
Wear started with the kind of things I wanted to put on and see reflected back at me. Not just something cute, but something that could speak, start a conversation or say exactly what I meant without me having to explain it.
This collection is for those of us who want what we wear to feel like us. Something with personality. Something with meaning. Something that lets you show off a little when you feel like it.
Why did I create it? Because I know what it feels like to look for something that speaks to you and not find it. So I decided to make room for it here.
Wear it quietly. Wear it loudly. Either way, wear it because you’re you. No explanation required.
STAY
It’s Where You Wanna Be.
Stay is personal for me.
Younger me always wanted a home because I did not grow up with one. Older me did a little traveling and eventually realized something else about myself. I actually want to stay home. Not because I do not have anywhere else to go, but because I worked to create a place I genuinely want to come back to.
This collection is filled with home décor and those unexpected pieces that make your space feel personal and comfortable. I like my home to feel like home but look like it is not actually lived in. Yes, basically a showroom. I know. I got issues.
But not somebody else’s showroom. Mine. Filled with things that feel like me. Your home should feel like yours too.
Why did I create it? Because home should be more than an address or a place where you keep your things. It should feel safe. It should feel personal. It should feel like somewhere you genuinely want to stay.
It’s Giving Personality.
Some things were never meant to be tucked away. They were made to catch your attention, make you look twice or have somebody ask, “Where did you get that?”
Display is where you’ll find wall art, statement pieces and designs made to be seen. Not a bunch of stuff added just to fill an empty space. I want the pieces you choose to display to feel intentional, personal and worth looking at.
Why did I create it? Because even though I love a clean space that looks like a showroom, clean does not have to mean empty, plain or boring. Sometimes one piece is all it takes to change the feeling of an entire room.
Blank walls are fine. But the right piece? It’s giving personality. As it should.
DISPLAY
ROUTINE
Apparently, Somebody Said.
Routine is for the things that somehow become part of what we do every day. The practical things, I guess. The useful things. Although sometimes I do question how useful some of it really is.
Then there are those things you did not realize could make such a difference. Like vitamin C serum for your face. Who knew?
Why did I create it? Because apparently, somebody said we need routines and they are supposed to make life better. Hehehe. I am not completely convinced, but if we are going to have one, we might as well fill it with things we actually enjoy using.
CARRY
’Cause I Can.
Carry is for the bags, accessories and everyday pieces that go wherever you go. Some carry the things you actually need. Others come with you simply because you liked them, and honestly, that is reason enough.
Why did I create it? Because I better not be the only one who has a special bag for public places. Yes, I am talking about the bathroom. It has everything I need, and let me leave it at home. I am too mad!
What you carry can be useful, personal and still have something to say. And sometimes you carry it simply because you can.
WRAP
They Didn’t See This Coming.
And by “they,” I mean the people getting the gift.
Wrap is where the gift starts making an impression before anyone sees what is inside. This collection includes wrapping paper and gift presentation designed to feel thoughtful, different and worth remembering.
Why did I create it? Because I wanted to walk into the stores I visit all the time and find wrapping paper, gift bags, tissue paper and other pieces that looked like me. Like us. And I did not want one little option tucked away somewhere. I wanted choices.
Nope. That does not happen nearly enough, and I got tired of being frustrated about it.
Not anymore.
Now the outside of our gifts can represent us and become part of our moments too. They really will not see this coming.
WRITE
To Inspire. To Be Inspired.
Write is for the ideas, plans, prayers, reminders, thoughts and all the things you need to get out of your head and onto paper. Here you’ll find journals, notebooks, stationery and other pieces made to hold the words that matter to you.
Why did I create it? Because sometimes writing creates the inspiration, and sometimes inspiration gives you something worth writing down.
It took me way too long to realize how much can happen when you stop carrying everything around in your head and finally write it down. Now that I understand it, I wish I could shout it from the rooftops.
Write it down. Seriously. You never know what might come from it.
SEASONAL
It Won’t Last Forever.
The four seasons arrive like clockwork, but life brings us other kinds of seasons too. Celebrations, traditions, milestones, new beginnings and moments that sometimes pass before we realize how important they were.
Seasonal is where those moments get their own space. The products you find here may change throughout the year because the season itself will not last forever. But the right piece can help make the moment feel more personal and give you something to remember long after it has passed.
Why did I create it? Because every season eventually changes. That does not mean we should rush through it or take it for granted.
Enjoy it. Celebrate it. Remember it.
It will not last forever, but what it meant to you can.
Eight collections. Not because I needed eight different tabs, but because life gives us more than one place to show who we are.
Take your time and look around. You may find exactly what you came for, something that reminds you of somebody or something you were not looking for at all.
And then you stop and think, “Okay... I didn’t know I wanted that.”
That little pause right there? That’s probably why I created it.
